The impregnation and coating production line for wood-based panel facing paper is a highly automated production line designed for the gluing of decorative paper and HPL base paper. It can continuously impregnate, coat, dry, and shear materials such as wear-resistant paper, insulation paper, kraft paper, and balance paper to ensure precise and efficient operation. The raw materials used include various impregnated base papers and melamine resin (MF), urea-formaldehyde resin (UF), phenol-formaldehyde resin (PF), etc.

The impregnation and drying production line can be divided into a primary impregnation production line and a secondary impregnation production line. The primary impregnation production line has a relatively simple structure and high production efficiency. The same resin is used for back coating and impregnation, and the amount of glue applied is about 70%. High-pressure melamine decorative panels and base paper are generally produced in this way.

1. Un-Winder

1.1 Include

Nos 2 pieces of air-expanding shafts shift two rollers of raw paper without stop in operating. Two sets of tension control make paper unwinding automatically to match operating line speed.

1.2 Feature

Auto splicer device is located between two raw paper rollers. Paper from two different paper rolls can be jointed together by shifting knob while the initial pattern paper from its roll is cut off.

2. Impregnator

2.1 Working Principle

Printed paper has a thorough impregnation in resin bath; resin add-on is gauged by the gap between two doctors.

2.2 Include

Frame, two roller, auto splicer, tension control, magnetic brake, etc.

2.3 Metering Rollers

Metering roller assembly, Nos 2 of hard chrome galvanized high glossy roller; one roller located in a fixed position and driven by decelerator through universal joint. Another piece roller can be adjusted gap between two rollers. The movable roller at φ290mm, there is electronics screw controls roller horizontal movement; the gap precision will be Tan10 x 0.75mm / (3.14 x 24mm) in stepless at 1.7x10-4MM degree (0.1micro).

3. 1st Heating Ovens

3.1 Main Features

Adopt the newest structure design of full panel vertical operating, gives easier maintenance; it has good paper stability, high speed, low noise and heat insulation features.

3.2 Include

Thermal oil distributor, heating exchanger, hot air fan, air blower, fresh air control, etc.

4. 1st Cooler

4.1 Main Features

Each cooling zone is composed of a top and bottom air chest, blower connecting pipe and a blower fan. Upper and down air nozzles equalized in same distance. Two pieces of side-door of the cooling chamber is easy inspection and cleaning. Auto-locking knob can be firmly closed.

5. 2nd Coater

5.1 Main Features

Wider range mesh roller coating device: it equips with a set of resin scraper and automatic trimming blades. The top and bottom coating roller are driven by two independent deceleration motors, each motor is 1.1kw. VVVF controls line speed of the coating rollers. Smooth and leveling device consists of 4 chrome-plated roller and telescopic cylinder. Nos 4 smoothing rollers are divided into the upper and lower groups, driven by two sets of 0.75kw deceleration motor in VVVF method. The telescopic cylinder can separate the smooth roller device for easy cleaning and overhaul.

6. 2nd Heating Ovens

6.1 Main Features

Each oven is equipped with 1 circulating hot air fan. Diameter at 800mm, the maximum hot air output is 18000m³/h. Hot air fan is controlled by VVVF. Honeywell Nr.1 PT100 temperature sensor detects chamber inner temperature. All separate oven assembles with 1 temperature controller, indicating and setting oven temperature; an extra three-way electric distributing valve makes it a twice heating circuit output, avoiding over-heating and energy waste.

7. 2nd Cooler

7.1 Main Features

2nd cooling chamber section as 3 meter, adopted one 3kw centrifugal motor. Each cooling zone is composed of a top and bottom air chest, blower connecting pipe and a blower fan. Upper and down air nozzles equalized in same distance. Two pieces of side-door of the cooling chamber is easy inspection and cleaning. Auto-locking knob can be firmly closed.

8. Web Aligner

8.1 Main Features

The web-aligner actuator is driven by the cylinder, and the servo motor drives the rectifying device. Two chrome-plated rolls, one on a fixed bracket and the other on the movable bracket. The edge of the paper is detected by 2 infrared sensors, and the servo motor electrical signal of the rectifying device is adjusted to keep center of paper in the middle between the two infrared sensors. Web-aligner sensitive at 5mm from paper central point.

Optional 1. Paper Tractor

Working Principle

The main traction roller diameter of 800mm, inter-layered design. There is rotary joint and cooling water connects and cycles inside the big drum. The auxiliary tractor roller diameter is 350mm, which is also inter-layered design, cooling water or tap water connection.

Optional 2. Paper Cutter

Working Principle

Sewing cutter gives high speed scissor sheeter for melamine impregnated finishing. High precision feeding roller is driven by servo motor, it gives high accuracy in cutting length. Paper feeding rubber roller is controlled by 2 cylinders, and the bell-shaped baffle is installed in the front, it keeps operation in a more safe way. Paper feeding roller is driven by a deceleration motor. Sewing cutting sheeter is controlled by servo motor, the bottom knife blade erection is cylinder control, and it contains blade gap adjustment device. To avoid paper sliding in feeding position, an air blower is built-in. Cutting accuracy under 35m/min: ±1mm/1000mm. High precision code device is equipped with shield cable transferring, no symbol disturbance.

Optional 3. Conveyor and Stacker

Working Principle

1+1 conveyor enhances operating convenience and working efficiency; stacker with self-lifting device matches paper stacking height.

EB Paper Impregnation Line

EB paper impregnation production line has many advantages over traditional paper impregnation production line. It is mainly a decorative material that uses electron beam (EB) curing technology to cure coatings on plastic films and printed paper. It does not require solvents and avoids pollution caused by solvent volatilization. And it speeds up production, reduces costs, and increases output. In addition, EB coating can protect the substrate and printed patterns, provide wear resistance, yellowing resistance, and customizable surface effects such as gloss or matte effects.
